This is 512 bytes of nonsense, since the Firefox 2 developers, in one of the strangest decisions ever, decided they would obsolete XML styles by overriding them without permission. Furthermore, the developers appear to be disinterested in fixing this. Therefore, we use the unofficial workaround, which includes filling up the first 512 bytes of a document so that the sniffer doesn't encounter the RSS tag. I really enjoy using Firefox, but this particular behavior really annoys me! Anyway, since I'm almost at 512 characters, I'm going to ramble on for another minute in this comment, and then, without further adue, present you with a valid XML feed.

Silver Peak Receives Brocade Data Center Ready Status for Storage Networking Compatibility

Santa Clara, CA, August 6, 2008 – Silver Peak Systems (www.silver-peak.com), the leading provider of scalable Wide Area Network (WAN) acceleration solutions, today announced that the company’s NX appliances have been verified by Brocade Communications Systems Inc. for compatibility with Brocade-based Storage Area Networking (SAN) infrastructure, according to the testing requirements of the Brocade Data Center Ready Program. The program is an initiative designed to foster interoperability in multi-vendor Brocade-based data center environments.

Testing was conducted at the Brocade Data Center Ready labs, which are state-of-the-art facilities supporting end-to-end interoperability and performance testing of SAN products in multi-vendor and large fabric SAN environments. The Brocade Data Center Ready Program boasts an impressive collection of equipment manufacturers since its launch in 2000.

"We are pleased that Silver Peak has successfully completed the Data Center Ready testing with Brocade fabric switches in multi-vendor SAN environments," said Tom Buiocchi, Brocade Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. "By extending our Data Center certification program to include WAN optimization devices, Brocade is demonstrating a continued commitment to meeting the evolving needs of our enterprise customers." Silver Peak’s WAN acceleration solution is optimized to support large networks, delivering the best performance on high capacity WAN links and across many distributed enterprise locations. Silver Peak offers the industry’s premier solution for disk-based WAN deduplication – Network Memory™ – which reduces more than 95 percent of WAN traffic and ensures LAN-like application performance across the WAN by eliminating the transfer of duplicate data. Network Memory works on all enterprise applications, regardless of transport protocol (TCP, UDP or proprietary) or latency requirements. As a result, Silver Peak is commonly used to accelerate a variety of business-critical applications, including real-time data replication, remote backup, Citrix, SQL, file, email, web, Voice over IP (VoIP) and streaming video.

“Silver Peak is committed to working with Brocade to ensure ongoing product compatibility, as evidenced by our Data Center Ready certification and recent inclusion into Brocade’s developer program as a Select partner,” said Chris Helfer, vice president of business development at Silver Peak. “As a leader in scalable WAN acceleration, there is a natural affinity between our products and those offered by storage vendors like Brocade. As such, we are pleased to be working with these companies to demonstrate real value to enterprise customers.”

About the Brocade Data Center Ready Program
The Brocade Data Center Ready program is a comprehensive testing and configuration initiative designed to foster end-to-end SAN interoperability. As part of the program, testing is conducted in SAN configurations that comprise a heterogeneous mix of servers, storage subsystems, Brocade fabric switches, SAN management and enterprise applications, and other SAN technologies. Brocade has created a dedicated lab with heterogeneous SAN fabrics, in which the company tests and validates partner equipment in specific configurations. Vendors receive Brocade Data Center Ready Certification after successfully completing tests to confirm that vendors' products meet compatibility guidelines.
About the Brocade Developer Program
The Brocade Developer Program provides a world-class program to cultivate strong relationships between Brocade and its developer partners by assisting in compatibility testing with Brocade products, supporting the development of applications with the Brocade SMI Agent (SMI-A), and facilitating discussions around future opportunities for network storage solutions and services.

About Silver Peak Systems, Inc.
